Design Studio

The Secret is Out

Richa Graphics has once again set the standard in Charlotte for cutting-edge technology.  Introducing 3D Printing to the Charlotte Metro area, Richa has now taken the next step for providing service that meets our customers needs.   From visual 3D renderings, walk-through animations, and 3D printing of architectural models, prototypes and topographies, Richa is your one stop firm for all of your 3D needs.  Our printer, The Spectrum Z510 Full Color System, produces high-definition, full-color prototypes quickly and affordably. Superior inkjet printing technology creates parts with crisply defined features, enhanced accuracy, and precise color, so you can print and evaluate physical models of design concepts in their nearly finished state.
Rapid 3D printing of high-definition models means you no longer have to wait for prototypes. This unique, 24-bit color, 3D printing capability produces color models that  accurately reflect your original design data.  Please read the information on this website as a means to inform yourself of our new technology.  3D has never been so easy...

For more information about our 3D services, please contact Kathryn Rohera at 704.331.9744 ext. 213, or email us at orders@richa.com and we will promptly respond to your inquiry.

Visual Renderings

Let your plans come to life

Richa Graphics now provides professional architectural 3D renderings. Our newly opened, highly skilled 3D studio has the ability to take architectural plans and develop them into working 3D renderings in complete color. From existing CAD files, to Sketch-Up files, Richa has the ability to take a source and turn it into professional 3D renderings. The rendering phase of Richa's 3D service can be the most important for you to understand what exactly a project will look like once complete. Walk-through animations can also be produced upon request.

Instant Updating

Richa Graphics 3D printing services are designed to meet the customers needs. Change is good, and Richa 3D welcomes change with open arms. Our 3D studio allows for fast and easy updating according to any design changes that may occur. This flexibility allows for you to follow a rapid design workflow while achieving real-time status on how any change will impact a project.
The photograph on the left shows how changes can be made in a file and then carried out into printed matter. Due to Richa's ability to produce the 3D files from scratch, updating is just another step for our 3D team.

Monochrome or Color

Options. Richa provides options in our 3D printing service. You may have models printed in true rich color, or disciplined stoic monochrome. Color models represent a desire for a finished product and are useful to display the finality of a design. Monochrome brings an ethereal look to the design, which may be beneficial if a project design is still not concrete. Both options are available when printing a model and may be requested throughout the project due to our "instant updating" capabilities.

Cloning

Richa Graphics capabilities do not just stop in producing a model in a "one and done" manner. Richa maintains the ability to produce mass quantities of models at the same scale without any additional requirements from the customer. Richa can produce exact replica, or "clones," in case of mass distribution of a model.
Clones are a wonderful way of "finalizing" a project and distributing out final models of one's work can serve as a nice token of appreciation for co-workers or clients.

Mass or Matter

Richa Graphics also presents a new 3D solution to our customers. 3D models do not necessarily have to be exact or finished products. "Massing" models, a technique mostly identified by architects as a way to generally describe the shape, density and size of a structure, can be produced at Richa. This method can be beneficial during the schematic design or design development phases of a project, before all the details are complete. On the other hand, Richa can go as detailed as your file calls for. Richa has the ability to produce exact replicas of your plans from landscaping to ornaments, etc...

Scaling

Richa Graphics can scale your 3D models to meet your design needs. We will work with you to scale your model appropriately to ensure that the details necessary to make the model look its best are visible. Our scaling is digitally accurate. Hand-made models may have imperfections as far as scale is concerned, due to human error. Richa's 3D printing is fully digital and ensures scale integrity. The size and scope of a model are not limited..

Finishing

Once a model is printed, it is our recommendation that a finishing is applied. Richa Graphics offers a variety of display, strengthening, and sealing options for the models that we produce.

Long Lasting Models:

Z-BOND is a material that can be used to make strong, high-definition parts and is the material of choice for printing color parts. It consists of a heavily engineered plaster material with numerous additives that maximize surface finish, feature resolution, and part strength. This material is ideal for high strength requirements, delicate or thin-walled parts, color printing and accurate representation of design details. Waxing is an alternative process that is does not bind the materials as Z-BOND does, but it does achieve all the other attributes.

Display:

Now that your model is printed and protected, there needs to be an option for displaying it in a professional manner, right? Richa is your destination for all your display needs. From wooden bases, engravings, seals, plexi-glass display cases and fancy coverings, Richa can meet all your display needs. To the left is an example of a plexi-glass case with the model enclosed.

This is an example of a wooden base with signage. This model was "waxed" to preserve it's shine and durability. Finishing is a personal choice and Richa is proud to bring you personal solutions for each model.

Hybrids

Richa's 3D printer can't do it all. That is why Richa has developed the moniker "hybrid" to describe a model that is 3D printed, but has external elements added to finish the product. Hybrid models may be necessary when there is a desire for a more authentic look for certain facets of the model.

The model on the left employs acetate as a depiction of windows on the "Richa3D Skyscraper." Other options for "hybrids" exist, and we will be the first in line to help you develop an alternative.

Removable Parts

Richa's 3D printing abilities allow for our customers to not only see the exterior finished product, but the interior as well. By producing models that have removable and yet complementary parts, Richa can transform a beautiful 3D model into a working mock-up for logistics planning. Richa can also build models that employ "movable" parts, such as gears.

Richa builds all files without cutting corners. If your drawings contain interior features, your 3D model can also represent interior space. This feature allows the model to not only represent an exterior finished product, but also an interior.

Lighting

Richa Graphics understands that some models may be desired to be viewed in light or some in dark. By implementing lighting, Richa allows the models to have distinct looks during the night and day.

The left picture displays how Richa employs an interior lighting effect to illuminate the model of a house at night.

Prototypes

What you see is what you get...

Richa Graphics believes in giving a customer options to make their life easier. Richa Graphics provides prototyping services. Prototyping is the process of quickly putting together a working model (a prototype) in order to test various aspects of a design, illustrate ideas or features and gather early user feedback. Prototyping is often treated as an integral part of the system design process, where it is believed to reduce project risk and cost. Richa can take your CAD file and amend it into a printable 3D file to produce a prototype that your design team can review. From machine parts, to tools to even shoe soles, Richa can prototype for you.

Novelty Items

Richa Graphics still finds 3D to be a phenomenon that plays with our imaginations. From creating abstract 3D art company logos and even inanimate objects, Richa will be glad to join you in your own endeavour with your imagination.

Richa would be proud to assist you with your personal 3D vision, as learning is a process that we find the most valuable in what we do.
